Dear visa applicants,

In regards to the international practices and experience, and in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, will the Embassy PRC in Slovakia retain fingerprint information and issue corresponding biometric visas to all applicants for Chinese visa starting from 10th October 2019 (Thursday).

The following applicants are exempt from providing fingerprints:

1. Persons under 14 years of age or over 70 years of age;

2. Holders of diplomatic passports or persons meeting the conditions for the issuance of Chinese diplomatic, official and courtesy visa;

3. Persons who have been issued visa in the same passport and provided fingerprints at the Embassy of PRC in Slovakia in the past 5 years, but must present a biometric visa issued in the same passport in the past 5 years;

4. Persons who have no fingers or their fingerprints cannot be retained.

The Embassy of PRC in Slovakia kindly reminds the visa applicants of following:

1. To provide fingerprints the applicant must be present (at the consular office) in person. Forgery of fingerprints or impersonation of others to retain fingerprints will result in the legal consequences of the applicant being denied access to China’s borders, and the applicant shall bear the full responsibility;

2. Applicants are required to fill in the visa application form through online system (https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn) and subsequently make an online reservation of appointment for submitting the visa application in person (https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn).

After successfully booking the appointment, the applicants should arrive at the consular office of the Embassy of PRC (address: Hrebendova 44/D) 20 minutes ahead of the appointment, and prepare:

· printed Confirmation of China Online Visa Application;

· printed Visa Application form (in total it has 8 pages);

· printed AVAS Confirmation of online reservation of appointment;

· passport and copy of the passport (only page with photo);

· and other required materials according to the type of visa you are applying for.
