On 8 February 2021 in Bratislava, Sun Lijie, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Slovak Republic, and Jozef Bires, Director General of State Veterinary and Food Administration of the Slovak Republic signed Protocol between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the State Veterinary and Food Administration of the Slovak Republic on Inspection, Quarantine and Veterinary Sanitary Requirements for Sheep and Goat Meat to be Exported from Slovakia to China.
