On September 21st, Ambassador SUN Lijie attended the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an-Dunajská Streda) welcome ceremony for arrival in Slovakia .

At the welcome ceremony Ambassador Sun pointed out that China values the superior geographical location of Slovakia as in the center of Europe and is willing to actively promote the normalization of the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an-Dunajská Streda) to strengthen pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic Jaroslav Kmeť said that the re-operation of the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an-Dunajská Streda) fully demonstrated that our interests overlap. The two countries have the potential for promoting cooperation in the field of railway transportation. Slovakia welcomes more China-Europe Railway Express to Slovakia.

The Express (Xi'an-Dunajská Streda), jointly operated by Beijing Trans-Eurasian International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. and the Slovakia logistics company Metrans, carrying a total of 42 containers of textiles, mechanical parts etc., passed through Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine, and arrived in Dunajská Streda, Slovakia after running for 13 days.
