On 17 September 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Slovakiaheld a symposium with overseas Chinese community to commemorate the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. H. E. Ambassador CaiGedelivered a speech at the symposium, and over 10 representatives from the Chinese community participated in this event.

In his speech, Ambassador Caireviewed the history of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression together with overseas Chinese, themed “remembering history, honoring the fallen heroes, cherishing peace and creating the future”, stressed theimportanceofupholdingacorrect historical perspective on World War II. He noted that under the banner of the national united front against Japanese aggression advocated and established by the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people witnessed the significant historical turning point from being mired in a profound crisis to moving towards the great rejuvenation. He encouraged overseas Chinese community in Slovakia to give full play to the role of bridges and bonds in advancing strategic partnership between China and Slovakia, support the great cause of national reunification as well as the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and contribute to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

Representatives of overseas Chinese shared their experiences and inspiration on participating in or watching the Commemoration events, expressed their enthusiasm incarrying forward good traditions and virtues, contributing more to strengthen the friendly cooperation between China and Slovakia.
