On 16th July 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Slovakia Held a Grand reception in Bratislava to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army(PLA). H.E. Ambassador Cai Ge and his wife, members of the Embassy as well as over 200 guests including the high-level representatives from the Slovak military and government, friends from all walks, foreign diplomats and defense attaches in Slovakia, representatives of Chinese enterprises and members of the overseas Chinese community attended the event.

In his speech, Defense Attache Wang Fei briefed Xi Jinping Thought on Strengthening the Military and Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, stressed that China consistently pursues a national defense policy that is defensive in nature and will continue to advance the modernization of armed forces along the Chinese path in the new era. The PLA is a staunch force for building a community with a shared future for humanity and is willing to cooperate with the Slovak military on further tapping into the potential for cooperation and broadening fields of cooperation, so as to make contribution to the development of bilateral relations.

The guests extended warm congratulations on China’s outstanding achievements in national defense, spoke highly of China’s significant contributions to world peace and stability, and expressed good wishes for fruitful development of China—Slovakia relations and military cooperation.
