On September 2,2026, Chinese Ambassador to Slovakia Cai Ge met with Šalitroš, First State Secretary of the Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic. Shen Li, General Manager of the Bank of China Prague Branch, attended the meeting.

Ambassador Cai stated that the China-Slovakia strategic partnership has entered a fast track, and bilateral relations are at their best in history, providing a solid guarantee for bilateral cooperation in various fields. The Chinese Embassy encourages and supports Chinese enterprises and financial institutions in interacting and exchanging with the Slovak side and in exploring cooperation in project investment and financing, information technology, artificial intelligence and regional development, so as to play a positive role in promoting Slovakia’s economic and social development and improving public wellbeing.

Šalitroš said that the Slovak side is willing to explore investment and financial cooperation opportunities with China, as well as cooperation projects with good prospects. Cooperation between the two sides will help create more new opportunities for Slovakia’s economic development.
